• The Autel MaxiBAS BT506 is an analysis tool for batteries and electrical systems that uses Adaptive Conductance, an advanced battery analysis method, to enable a more accurate examination of the cold-cranking ability and reserve capacity of the battery. With the BT506, technicians can view the condition of the battery and the vehicle's electrical system. Download the free and user-friendly mobile app, available for iOS and Android devices, to use with the BT506 to perform tests and view test results.

• The BT506 has no screen! To perform tests and view test results, the BT506 must be used with Autel MaxiSys MS906 and higher tablet tools.

• What is adaptive conductance?
• Autel MaxiBAS BT506 uses Adaptive Conductance to measure the conductivity state of a battery. Compared to traditional load testers, this technology enables multiple tests without discharging the battery, and testing batteries that are weak or nearly fully discharged. This Autel BT506 car battery tool similarly uses Adaptive Conductance to test the battery's partner components, the alternator and the starter, to see if they can accept and store a charge. • 2.Starter Test
• Follow the on-screen instructions, start the engine and let it idle. Then the test results of the cranking system will display on the screen which include starting voltage, starting current and starting time

• Through the alternator test, technicians are able to check the load voltage/current, no load voltage/current, and ripple. The direct test result on the screen will tell you whether the charging is normal, and whether there is an issue with the output or ripple, which helps avoid damaging the battery and shortening its life due to overcharging or incomplete charging
