• Congratulations on purchasing a gear position indicator. It is the most advanced gear position indicator on the market. This product is suitable for all Suzuki motorcycles with fuel injection (FI) that have an integrated diagnostic system connector. This connector is referred to in the Suzuki manuals as "Mode Select Switch Coupler". Unlike other gear indicators available for your bike, this product connects to the diagnostic connector. This makes installation very easy. The device reads data directly from the ECM and provides faster and more reliable readings than competitor products. The device is fully automatic, there are no buttons and no "programming cable". The display shows all gears correctly. When the ignition is on, the side stand is UP and the engine stop switch is in the RUN position.
• Installation
• Locate the WHITE 6-pin diagnostic connector, usually near the ECM box. A black cap or a "dummy" socket (without wires) may be attached to it. GSF650 Bandit / GSF1250; under the right side frame cover DL650 ABS model; behind the right fuel tank cover VL1500 / Boulevard C90 / Intruder C1500; behind the left frame head cover Other models; under the seat (driver or passenger) Remove the black cap or dummy socket and connect the plug. Detach the green plastic from the back of the device and mount the display. Secure the cable with the supplied cable ties. The device is fully functional after installation. It does not need to be set up. Troubleshooting
• Disconnect the Jxkj connector and check if the pins are broken, bent, or pushed out of position. Reconnect the connector and ensure all connections are okay and the connector is tight. Make sure the ignition is on, the side stand is UP and the engine stop switch is in the RUN position when testing the gear position indicator. If some gears are not displayed correctly, it is most likely that the gear position switch is defective, modified, or a TRE box is installed. If the displayed gears are correct except under hard acceleration or braking, there is a fault in the motorcycle's wiring and the ECM is receiving incorrect gear position values from the sensor. This model displays the gear position known to the ECM.
